star this property answer text <p>The Strategy for our Veterans and a Consultation Paper were published on 14 November and debated in both Houses on 15 November. The Consultation Paper seeks public views to inform how the Government will implement the strategy. Following conclusion of the consultation period in February 2019, implementation plans will be developed by each relevant service provider, along with individual costings which will fall across Government. Once implementation options have been agreed, the resource required to implement the Strategy for our Veterans will be agreed between Ministerial Covenant and Veterans Board members, which includes the Chief Secretary to the Treasury.</p> more like this

The Scottish and Welsh Governments have made separate consultation arrangements for areas that are devolved. Following conclusion of these consultations, implementation plans will be developed by each relevant service provider, along with individual costings which will fall across Government. The majority of UK Defence personnel that deploy on Operation ORBITAL are Army personnel. Figures broken down by the single Services are not representative of the total number of Operation ORBITAL deployments because each individual deployed is recorded only once per financial year, however they may have been deployed multiple times during that period. At any one time, Operation ORBITAL headquarters has consisted of 12-14 personnel throughout this period.</p><p> </p><p>Alongside our operational training assistance, the UK also deploys UK personnel from the British Military Advisory Training Team to Ukraine, as well as defence reform advisors on an ad hoc basis. The units are listed in corps order of precedence and the table includes both reserve and regular units, but excludes training regiments.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the Army 2020 (Refine) work announced by the then Secretary of State for Defence on 15 December 2016, the Army is currently reshaping its structures. star this property answer text <p>As a leading member of the NATO Alliance, the UK contributes fully across the whole range of Alliance activities, including Air Policing, Initial Follow-on Forces Groups (IFFG) and the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). For 2018 and 2019, our contributions to these are provided in the table below. In order not to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces certain details are withheld.</p><p> </p><p> </p><table><tbody><tr><td><p><strong> Year</strong></p></td><td><p><strong>2018</strong></p></td><td><p><strong>2019</strong></p></td></tr><tr><td><p><strong>NATO Response Force 2018 (includes VJTF(A) and IFFG(A))</strong></p></td><td><p><ul><li>For 2018 the UK committed fighter bomber and air defence aircraft to both the IFFG(AIR) and the VJTF(AIR).</li></ul><ul><li>In addition the UK has provided airborne early warning, air-to-air refuelling and air transport capabilities at varying level of readiness to support the NATO Response Force.</li></ul></p></td><td><p><ul><li>During 2019 the UK has committed to providing a similar level of capabilities at the same high levels of readiness.</li></ul></p></td></tr><tr><td><p><strong>NATO enhanced Air Policing</strong></p></td><td><p><ul><li>During 2018 the UK deployed 4 Typhoon aircraft and a 150 strong Expeditionary Air Wing to Romania for four months to support NATO Air Policing in the south of SACEUR’s area of responsibility.</li></ul></p></td><td><p><ul><li>In May 2019 the UK will conduct a four month deployment to the Baltic States to support NATO’s northern air policing mission.
