<p>The British Government has made numerous representations to the United States Government over a number of years about indefinite detention at Guantanamo Bay, most recently in September 2019. The United Kingdom's long-standing position remains that the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay should close. We continue to engage with the US Government on this issue, as we do on a range of national security issues.</p>
