star this property answer text <p>Child sexual abuse is a horrific crime which has no place in our society. The final report of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse constitutes an important milestone in our efforts to tackle this crime.</p><p>The work of the Inquiry over the past seven years has shone a light on the institutional failings of the past and given a voice to victims. The Final Report provides truly shocking insight on the unimaginable abuse suffered by children, and draws out stark failings by institutions, leaders, and professionals to protect them from harm. We owe it to victims and survivors to give the Inquiry’s final recommendations proper time, consideration, and attention.</p><p>As set out in the Home Secretary’s Written Ministerial Statement to the House on 20 April, we will publish the Government response to the Inquiry’s final report in May 2023.</p> more like this
