The SFO investigates and prosecutes only the most serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption cases.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The decision to commence an investigation is that of the Director alone. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/03/2022 answer text <p>Police forces that reflect and understand the communities they serve are crucial to tackling crime and maintaining public trust and confidence in a modern diverse society. More than ever, diversity is an important part of operational effectiveness. This includes provision of appropriate training for all officers and staff and ensuring the very highest professional standards are maintained throughout their careers.</p><p>The College of Policing, who set and maintain training standards for policing, published the Code of Ethics in 2014, which includes equality and diversity among the standards of professional behaviour in the police. The Code is currently being refreshed.</p><p>The College’s foundation training for all those entering the service already includes substantial coverage of police ethics and self-understanding. The initial training undertaken by all officers also covers hate crimes, ethics and equalities, and policing without bias.</p><p>In addition, we have funded the College to develop a National Police Leadership Centre to create a strong professional framework and standards across policing at all levels. We are determined to ensure that women feel safe everywhere - at home, at work, at school, online, or on the streets.</p><p>In 2021/22, the Government is providing £25 million for round 3 of the Safer Streets Fund, which focuses on improving public safety for all, with an emphasis on women and girls’ safety in public spaces. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/01/2022 answer text <p>The Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) will prioritise those who have assisted UK efforts in Afghanistan and stood up for UK values such as democracy, women’s rights, freedom of speech and rule of law; and vulnerable people such as women and girls at risk, and members of minority groups (including ethnic / religious minorities and LGBT+).</p><p>Those eligible for the scheme include individuals evacuated during Operation Pitting. Due to the success of the evacuation in unprecedented circumstances, there are around 6,500 people in the UK who have been brought to safety during and after the evacuation who are eligible for the ACRS. We’re considering how we use MPs correspondence to inform the referral process, as set out in the Oral statement.</p><p>There will not be an application process for the ACRS. The Government is clear that we will not tolerate a practice that can cause extreme and lifelong suffering to women and girls.</p><p>The Serious Crime Act 2015 introduced a new FGM mandatory reporting duty requiring all regulated health, social care and teaching professionals to report known cases of FGM in under 18s directly to the police.</p><p>The Home Office has published information for the professionals subject to the duty and the police on GOV.uk. This makes clear that upon receipt of a report the police will record the information and initiate a multi-agency response, in line with local safeguarding arrangements.</p><p>To improve understanding of the prevalence of so-called ‘Honour Based Violence’ including FGM, we amended the police Annual Data Requirement (ADR) to allow police forces the opportunity from April 2018 to record on a voluntary basis where a crime has been committed in the context of preserving the ‘honour’ of a family or community.
