The ability to borrow in relation to all functions is subject to the agreement of a debt cap with HM Treasury, which Sheffield City Region have requested following the full implementation of their devolution deal. Audited annual accounts will be published later this year for the Test and Trace Programme.</p><p>Every consultancy contract awarded by the Department contains a set of service objectives and activities which the suppliers will deliver. These are set out in the individual contracts which are published. The service objectives are linked to the overall programme plan and</p><p>business objectives for the Test and Trace initiative. Each contract has a different timeframe for the delivery and completion of its objectives; progress and performance is monitored by regular meetings and engagement with the supplier.</p><p>£450 million of the £22 billion funding for Test and Trace, is allocated to ‘professional services’ which includes management consultants. I have, therefore, asked the Authority to respond.</p><p><strong>Professor Sir Ian Diamond</strong> | National Statistician</p><p> </p><p>The Lord Scriven</p><p>House of Lords</p><p>London</p><p>SW1A 0PW</p><p> </p><p>26 February 2021</p><p> </p><p>Dear Lord Scriven,</p><p> </p><p>As National Statistician and Chief Executive of the UK Statistics Authority, I am responding to your Parliamentary Question asking how many jobs have been lost in each parliamentary constituency in South Yorkshire in the current financial year to date <strong>(HL13503)</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>The Office for National Statistics (ONS) produces labour market statistics for small areas from the Annual Population Survey (APS), which is a survey of people resident in households in the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The APS cannot be used to measure the number of people who have lost their jobs, but instead can provide estimates of how the size of the workforce has changed over time. The survey provides level estimates for 12-month periods, based on interviews taking place throughout that time.
