This will form an important set of evidence for any future assessments of the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The <strong>Internationalisation Fund</strong> (IF) has commissioned an independent contractor to evaluate IF over the lifetime of the project. The Fund opened in December 2020 so it is too early to assess its effectiveness, but a final assessment will be made when funding comes to an end in 2023.</p><p> </p><p>The <strong>E-Exporting Programme</strong> is monitored as part of DIT’s collective assessment of the support it offers to exporters. The Government also recognises the value that building societies, friendly societies and other mutually owned organisations bring to the financial services sector.</p><p>The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) is responsible for the prudential supervision of the UK banking sector, including building societies, whilst the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is responsible for supervising the conduct of financial services firms operating in the UK. The FCA and PRA are operationally independent of Government and and the Treasury has no general power of direction over the regulators.
