<p>To ensure transparency of police use of powers, the Home Office collect and publish
statistics on the use of police powers in the annual "Police powers and procedure"
statistical release. This includes data on those arrested for notifiable offences
and stopped and searched, including by ethnicity, and broken down by police force
area.
