answer text
The Countryside Productivity scheme provides funding, including grants, for projects in England which improve productivity in the farming and forestry sectors. In October this year we committed £30 million for further rounds of the Countryside Productivity Small Grant scheme, which helps farmers buy equipment they need to boost productivity, increase yields, and become more environmentally efficient.

The Agriculture Bill sets out the foundations for the future. It includes provisions which would allow for financial assistance to be given to improve the productivity of agricultural activities. This will allow us to make payments to enable farmers to invest in equipment, technology and infrastructure that will help them to improve their productivity. The payments will also help farmers to deliver public goods, such as environmental benefits and animal health and welfare enhancements that are significantly above the regulatory baseline.

We are developing a policy for England. Agriculture is devolved, and so it is for the devolved administrations to determine their own policies and decide how they spend their money.

answer text
The UN Peacekeeping Mission (MINUSCA) in the Central African Republic (CAR) has deployed military troops to the west, centre and east of the country, primarily for the protection of civilians.

With approximately 70 per cent of the territory controlled by armed groups, achieving stability outside of Bangui, remains extremely challenging. Flashpoints of violence between armed groups and unprovoked attacks towards humanitarian workers and civilians occurs too often. The UK will continue to monitor the security situation, engaging closely with MINUSCA and non-governmental organisations on the ground. However, in order to achieve peace in CAR, efforts to stabilise the country in the short term must go hand-in-hand with longer-term progress on reconciliation, justice, and state building.

MINUSCA is mandated to support the African Union Peace Process and the UK will monitor the recently announced peace deal, closely.
more like this

answer text
Government does not have a central repository of 3D laser maps that record historic buildings. However, Historic England (HE) have taken steps to record the most notable historic buildings. The HE Geospatial Survey team have created and hold data for 101 historic sites, of which 55 are English Heritage properties. Notable sites that have complete laser scans include Stonehenge, Ironbridge and Harmondsworth Barn. There are a number of buildings in Shrewsbury that have been scanned and mapped. These include Shrewsbury Old Market Hall, the Charles Darwin statue and the Catholic Cathedral and sections of the town wall, by Arrol and Snell. Ironbridge, already noted, is just outside the constituency and is one of the notable sites which has had complete laser scan coverage.

There are more than 400,000 buildings and monuments on the National Heritage List for England, the vast majority in private ownership. It is likely that only a small fraction of these have been subject to comprehensive laser or photogrammetric survey of any kind. Such surveys that do exist are likely to be held by the owners and organisations carrying out the work.
