Primary classification indicates that, in this case, opera or brass bands, was a major focus of the activity funded with the assumption most of this amount went to funding this activity. Affirmative secondary legislation is required to change the limits, and the Gambling Commission are also required to consult on changes to their Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP). The date for laying the statutory instrument has not yet been fixed. The Gambling Commission’s consultation will also cover measures to improve transparency of society lotteries, and is expected to run for 12 weeks.
