answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/06/2021 answer text <p>Public rights of way are a local matter and are handled by individual local highway authorities.</p><p> </p><p>Local authorities are required to keep a Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) to plan improvements to their network, which is usually available on the authority’s website. I would hope local authorities, whenever possible, would look at the needs of all users, including walkers, cyclists and horse-riders. Safety must be a consideration in this process.</p><p> </p><p>Local authorities receive most of their rights of way funding from central Government through the Revenue Support Grant to deliver various duties, including ROWIPs. It is not ring-fenced and we cannot say how much authorities should spend on ROWIPs. HMRC does not collect data on specific fur-bearing species.</p><p> </p><p>Under existing domestic legislation it is an offence to keep animals solely or primarily for slaughter for the value of their fur. However, we do permit the import and sale of such products. The Government is committed to exploring potential action in this area in the Action Plan for Animal Welfare. We regularly assess the effect of the COVID-19 outbreak on the hospice sector and through NHS England and NHS Improvement are in regular discussions with stakeholders in the sector about the challenges they face. A range of steps have been taken to support hospices.</p><p>We have provided over £150 million in additional funding to the hospice sector to date during the pandemic. The levy can be paid online, at a number of official Point of Sale (PoS) locations, at driver self-serve facilities offered by some operators and through a number of booking agents. The majority of levy purchases are via the HGV Levy website.</p><p> </p><p>The overall compliance rate for foreign vehicles is high, according to figures collected by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency in Great Britain, at 95%. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/09/2023 answer text <p>Cutting National Health Service waiting lists, including for elective child health services, is one of the Government’s top priorities. To support elective recovery, the Government plans to spend more than £8 billion from 2022/23 to 2024/25 to help drive up and protect elective activity. Steps taken include increasing capacity, seeking alternative capacity in other trusts or the independent sector and engaging with patients to understand their choices.</p><p>We met our target to virtually eliminate long waits of two years or more for elective procedures in July 2022. We also virtually eliminated waits of over 18 months by the end of June 2023, a reduction of over 94% from the peak of 125,000 in September 2021.
