answer text <p>From 1 April 2023, a new integrated Op COURAGE service has been operational. This new service has brought together the three previously separate mental health services for veterans into a single service, to make it easier for veterans to access the support they need, when they need it. Between April 2023 and December 2023, there were 5,084 referrals into Op COURAGE.</p><p> </p><p>Veterans can also choose to use Talking Therapies and other National Health Service mental health services, commissioned by NHS England. Between April 2023 and December 2023, there were 14,595 veteran referrals into Talking Therapies services.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK has made an ambitious and generous commitment to resettle.</p><p>Afghans fleeing persecution and those who served the UK. The latest published <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/immigration-system-statistics-year-ending-september-2023" target="_blank">Immigration system statistics - (www.gov.uk)</a> show that (up to the end of September 2023) we have brought around 24,600 people to safety from Afghanistan and the region.</p><p> </p><p>These statistics also show that:</p><ul><li>we have resettled 9,839 people under all three of the Afghan Citizens Resettlement scheme (ACRS) pathways;</li><li>we have relocated 11,684 under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP); and</li><li>1,674 people were living in interim accommodation (i.e. hotels/serviced accommodation) during this period (though this number changes frequently, and most of those within interim have now moved into settled accommodation) as of September 2023.</li></ul><p> </p><p>ACRS and ARAP arrivals correct as of around December 2023, and accommodation data will be reflected in the next release of the Immigration Statistics, which is due around 22 February 2024.</p>

answer text <p>Due to commercial sensitivities, unfortunately the locations being considered for the GIGO Headquarters cannot be released at this stage. The trilateral partners have agreed at Ministerial level that the headquarters of the GIGO and corresponding joint business construct will be located in the UK. A process is underway that will progressively narrow down the options to a short list from which recommendations will be made. answer text <p>The Government remains committed to ending the systemic use of hotels, and we do not plan to open new hotels to meet this increased demand.</p><p> </p><p>The information requested on hotel contracts is not publicly available, however, a small number of hotels with existing contracts will be extended for a limited time period to help accommodate ACRS arrivals who have yet to be matched to settled housing solutions in the United Kingdom.</p><p> </p><p>The latest published statistics on Afghan resettlement, up until the end of September, may be viewed at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-statistics-quarterly-release" target="_blank">Immigration system statistics quarterly release - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)</a>. answer text <p>DLUHC publishes statutory homelessness statistics for England which is available at - <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/homelessness-statistics" target="_blank">Homelessness statistics</a>. The most recent statistics (January to March 2023) shows 560 (0.7%) households owed a homelessness duty included a member with a support need due to service in HM Forces. Homelessness statistics for the next quarter (April to June 2023) will be published on 30 November. The Government is providing £33 million over the next 3 years to increase the service provided to veterans, which includes £20 million for the Veteran Housing Capital Fund which will be used to modernise, rebuild and expand our veteran housing network. This is in addition to £8.55 million funding announced last year for more than 900 veteran supported housing units with specialist help for former armed forces personnel.</p> more like this
