answer text <p>As the Secretary of State stated during the House of Lords inquiry into the work of Ofwat, Defra is minded not to introduce a single social tariff scheme due to the complexities involved with a national scheme, as well as due to legislative timetables, which would mean we would not be able to introduce a single social tariff to align with the start of the next price review – 1 April 2025.</p><p> </p><p>However, I am very mindful that consumers are concerned about their bills. My officials continue to explore options to improve existing social tariff arrangements, focussing on improving consistency and fairness across existing regional social tariff schemes - a sensible and pragmatic approach given time constraints.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Access to Op RESTORE is by general practitioner (GP) referral, therefore it is vital that there is awareness of the service in primary care. There are direct links between Op RESTORE and the Royal College of General Practitioners’ Veteran Friendly Accreditation Scheme, with accredited practices receiving information on the bespoke veterans’ services, such as Op RESTORE and Op COURAGE, including how to refer to them. To date, over 75% of primary care networks have at least one GP practice that is accredited as veteran friendly. In addition, the service is promoted through the Royal College of General Practitioners clinical toolkits and the Op COURAGE service.</p> more like this

answer text <p>£2.3 billion was awarded at the 2021 Spending Review to transform diagnostic services over the next three years. Most of this will help increase the number of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) up to 160 by March 2025, expanding and protecting elective planned diagnostic services. The remainder of the funding will increase capacity for imaging, endoscopy as well as lung and mammography screening, and improve digital diagnostics.</p><p>As of September 2023, there are 121 CDCs currently operational that have delivered over five million additional tests since July 2021, including large, standard and hub models. This compares with over 92 CDCs being operational as of September 2022, having delivered over two million additional tests since July 2021. We are on track to meet the target of up to 160 CDCs by March 2025.</p> more like this

Using such services also means that any changes to the test may not necessarily be relayed to the candidate.</p><p> </p><p>The DVSA will also continue to inform candidates of the official channels for booking a test. The DVSA has taken measures to encourage learners to use the official booking site on GOV.UK by ensuring that it appears as high as possible on popular search engines and by promoting the official website on social media.</p><p> </p><p>The fees for the services that the DVSA offers have remained largely the same for over 10 years. The car driving test fee was last changed in 2009 and has not kept up with inflation.
