answer text <p>88 per cent of premises in the Honourable Member’s constituency are able to access gigabit-capable broadband.</p><p>Across the UK as a whole, 66 per cent of premises now have access to gigabit broadband, up from six per cent three years ago. This means Kettering’s connectivity is above the national average and we are on track for gigabit coverage to reach at least 85 per cent of premises by 2025 and we are working to reach near-universal coverage as soon as possible thereafter.</p><p> </p> more like this

The Department is taking a number of steps to protect freedom of expression and democratic values online. This includes our Online Safety Bill, work on open societies with the G7, and our work on press freedom and sustainability.</p><p>The Government introduced the Online Safety Bill on 17 March 2021. answer text <p>The Government introduced the Online Safety Bill to Parliament on 17 March. Through the Bill, the largest social media companies will need to take robust action to tackle fraud, including fraudulent online advertisements. This will ensure that people using the largest platforms are protected from scams, and ensure these services do not profit from illegal activity.</p><p>We have also launched a consultation on proposals for wider reform of online advertising regulations, including in relation to fraud.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>From October 2023, we will enable more self-funders in care homes to ask their local authority to arrange their care by further commencing Section 18(3) of the Care Act 2014. The impact assessment, published in January 2022, presents the impacts of these changes, which will vary across local markets and will depend on local circumstances, such as the number of self-funders and the extent to which top-ups are utilised to support user choice. answer text <p>Following two consultations in 2019 and 2020 on the design of Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT), the Government decided that chemically recycled plastic will be an allowable source of recycled plastic for the purpose of the Tax. Industry recognised standards were considered as part of this consultation process and in the development of the definition of recycled plastic contained within Section 49 Finance Act 2021.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has published the anticipated environmental impact of the Plastic Packaging Tax in a Tax Information and Impact Note.
