answer text <p>We want to see more girls studying STEM subjects and are committed to improving the gender balance in computing, maths and physics, where uptake by girls is low. We are funding several interventions in this area. A-levels mathematics students are likely to earn on average 11 per cent more on their salary by the time they are 34, than students who choose not to study maths. Indeed, studying STEM can lead to a wide range of brilliant careers - from computer scientist to Minister for Women and Equalities.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Since 2016, the government has funded a programme supporting primary and secondary schools in England to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. answer text <p>Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust will benefit from £500million capital investment for a new major hospital, providing adult emergency and women and children’s services in one place. A consultation on the detail of the Trust’s proposals is currently underway and closes on 1 April.</p><p>The package of capital funding is part of the Government’s £2.7billion Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) for six new hospital projects to be delivered in our first phase of major hospital rebuilds (HIP1) as part of our broader commitment to build 40 new hospitals.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The transformation of mental health services would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of National Health Service staff. We recognise the scale of the challenge challenge but we have made progress on increasing the mental health workforce, including; addressing pensions tax concerns; increasing university clinical placements for all nursing specialities by over 5,000 more; introducing £5,000 maintenance grants for nursing students and an additional £1,000 grant for students in specialisms where we have greater workforce shortages including mental health; and bolstering the workforce through greater international recruitment.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department does not keep official statistics on food bank use, so no such assessment has been completed.</p><p> </p><p>There are many reasons people use food banks and their growth cannot be linked to a single cause.</p><p> </p><p>Some food aid providers produce statistics on the number of food parcels distributed, but the Government has no plans to require individual food banks to keep records, as this would place a significant burden on charitable organisations.</p> more like this
