Prosecutions for more serious and complex cases have risen, including a 5% increase in homicide, a 17% increase in fraud and forgery and a 28% increase in sexual offences cases. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/11/2018 answer text <p>The Johnston Press Pension Plan is currently in the Pension Protection Fund’s (PPF) assessment period, where it will be assessed whether the scheme’s funding level is sufficient to secure pensions to its members at least equal to the level of compensation the PPF would pay. If the scheme’s funding is not sufficient, then it will transfer into the PPF and compensation will be paid at 100 per cent for individuals over their scheme’s retirement age at the date of the insolvency, and 90 per cent of the member’s accrued benefits, subject to an overall cap for everyone else. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2018 answer text <p>The consumer rights and protections that apply to UK consumers who purchase financial products from third countries, including the Isle of Man, will depend on the type of financial product and the relevant third country’s financial services regime.</p><p> </p><p>Under EU rules, it is the responsibility of the regulator in the country where the insurance product is purchased to monitor its insurance market. In the UK, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has powers to act if a firm is conducting a regulated activity without the required permission.
