answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2016 answer text <p>It is in UK interests, and it is a Government priority, to encourage and support British candidates for senior positions in the UN and to promote the deployment of UK civilian staff with relevant expertise to key roles in the UN, both in its operations and at the UN Headquarters.</p><p>To this end the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has strengthened and restructured its team of officials working in this area. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/06/2015 answer text <p>NHS England collects the number of operations cancelled at the ‘last minute’ for non-clinical reasons on a quarterly basis.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The number of cancelled elective operations in the final quarter of 2013-14 was not the highest ever recorded. The highest number of cancelled elective operations was recorded in quarter 4 2000-01.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Cancelled elective operations as a percentage of elective admissions are stable. In both 2009-10 and 2013-14 cancelled elective operations represented 0.9% of elective admissions, despite a 546,000 increase in the number of elective admissions in this period.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service should do everything it can to reduce cancellations and keep them to an absolute minimum. Where this is unavoidable, patients should receive treatment as soon as possible. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2014 answer text <p>Officials in our Consulate General in Jerusalem have monitored the cases of Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike and have been in regular contact with the Prisoners Affairs Ministry in the Palestinian Authority and relevant non-governmental organisations. Officials raised our concerns over prisoners with the Israeli National Security Council on 17 June.
