answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/04/2017 answer text <p>There are an estimated 1.3 million people in need of humanitarian assistance in Idlib province, of which more than 900,000 are internally displaced persons. The greatest humanitarian needs are for health, protection, and early recovery and livelihoods services. Food insecurity affects around 710,000 people. There has been a decrease in hostilities following the 30 December ceasefire, although airstrikes continue to pose a significant risk to civilians. Diplomatic personnel were withdrawn from Syria because of the deteriorating political and security situation. We continue to advise against all travel to Syria.</p><p>UK officials at the British Embassies in Beirut and Amman and the Consul General in Istanbul follow developments in Syria closely, as do staff in London. We meet a wide range of Syrian representatives, including from north-east Syria. We also continue to encourage the Government of Bahrain to deliver on its international and domestic human rights commitments.
