answer text <p>Departmental Ministers met with representatives from the WASPI campaign group on 29 June 2016. <ins class="ministerial">The department did not meet with representatives from the campaign group for the duration of the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman's investigation which began in 2018.</ins></p><p>In laying the report before Parliament at the end of March, the Ombudsman has brought matters to the attention of this House, and I will provide a further update to the House once I have considered the report's findings.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In accordance with standard practice, new policies which have been introduced to support the early years workforce will be evaluated to understand their impact and effectiveness. This includes the recently announced national recruitment campaign and early years financial incentives pilot, details of which can be found at: <a href="https://earlyyearscareers.campaign.gov.uk/" target="_blank">https://earlyyearscareers.campaign.gov.uk/</a>.</p><p> </p><p>The department is also regularly engaging with both local authorities and early years providers from across the country to better understand the impact of workforce policies on the early years workforce in their local areas.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, the department collects information on the childcare workforce through the Survey of Childcare and Early Years Providers which showed 13,000 more people working in the sector in 2023 alone. answer text <p>The Government is a strong supporter of credit unions, recognising the vital role they play in local communities throughout the country.</p><p> </p><p>Through the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023, the Government allowed credit unions in Great Britain to offer a wider range of products and services, diversifying their income streams and enhancing their role in financial inclusion.</p><p> </p><p>According to the latest data from the PRA, credit union membership in Great Britain has increased for the fifth consecutive quarter, reaching a record level of over 1.5 million. answer text <p>In July 2022 the Government announced the £100 million Frequently Flooded Allowance to support communities that have experienced repeated flooding. The Allowance improves access to public funding for frequently flooded communities that have not been able to secure all of the funding necessary to progress their flood resilience scheme. The first 53 projects to receive £48 million from the Allowance were announced in April 2023. The next round of projects will be announced in due course.</p> more like this
