The UK Health Security Agency has provided NHS regions and local authorities with a contingency supply of lateral flow device tests from its prioritised stock for the NHS and social care. Health and social care staff should therefore be able to access testing through their employer. This was a senior official level meeting attended by Chief Negotiators, without ministerial invitation. This was part of a broader suite of documents on the UK-India Free Trade Agreement, including an economic scoping assessment.</p><p> </p><p>My Rt. Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade made a <a href="https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statements/detail/2022-01-13/hcws533" target="_blank">Written Ministerial Statement</a> on the 13th of January about the launch of negotiations.
