answer text
Operation PITTING was not only a strategic success, but as the largest humanitarian operation conducted by the RAF since the Berlin Airlift it also validated many Defence Planning Assumptions, using the full range of Air Transport capabilities - C-17, Voyager, A400M and Hercules. Whilst the Air Mobility Force operated at surge for a period of weeks, it was able to meet all of the operational tasks asked of it. Increases in the number of available A400Ms over the next few years will see that capacity increase further.
more like this

answer text
Under the Online Safety Bill, companies will have duties with regard to user-generated content advertising, such as posts by influencers and posts by companies on their social media feeds. Companies will need to minimise the risk of illegal user-generated content appearing on their services, and take swift action to remove it once alerted to it.

The legislation will not cover adverts which are placed directly or indirectly through a contract between an advertiser and an advertising service. It is important to keep the scope of the Bill manageable, to ensure its success in regulating the most harmful forms of user-generated content. We are however awaiting the report from the Joint Committee scrutinising the Draft Bill and will carefully examine any recommendations in this area.

Harms associated with paid-for advertising will be addressed holistically via the Online Advertising Programme. In February 2019, we announced that we will consider how online advertising is regulated. In 2020 we launched a call for evidence and we will be launching a public consultation on the Online Advertising Programme in the coming months.

answer text
There are no immediate plans to accelerate the Power Improvement Programme (PIP) for the Type 45 Destroyers, although we continually review optimal delivery within the Complex Warship Support Plan. The programme is dependent on the availability of ships to undertake the upgrade, balanced against the Royal Navy's current and future operational commitments. PIP conversions are planned to take into account the regular Upkeep cycle to maximise overall class availability and meet the readiness profile required to meet Defence outputs. HMS DAUNTLESS, the first of class to undergo the Type 45 Power Improvement Programme, is currently at the Cammell Laird shipyard in Birkenhead where equipment is being set to work following installation. The next phase of the programme will see DAUNTLESS undertake a rigorous trials programme in harbour and subsequently at sea.

Three Type 45 Destroyers are currently available for operational tasking.
more like this
