answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/06/2021 answer text <p>Prior to the launch of the Afghanistan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), under the intimidation policy, 21 people were relocated to the UK. This includes the Locally Employed Staff member and their immediate family.</p><p> </p><p>The ARAP scheme came into effect on 1 April 2021 and offers the relocation of current and former local staff in Afghanistan, including interpreters and their immediate families.</p><p> </p><p>This new scheme acknowledges and reflects that the situation in Afghanistan has changed, and with it the potential risk to the local staff who have worked for the UK Government over the past twenty years.</p><p> </p><p>Under the new policy, any current or former locally employed staff who are assessed to be under serious threat to life are offered priority relocation to the UK regardless of their employment status, rank or role, or length of time served.</p> answering member constituency Wells answering member printed James Heappey question first answered 09/06/2021 13:09:07 answering member 4528 label Biography information for James Heappey

Our £1.4 billion investment will mean we will be one of very few air forces with this capability. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2021 answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has robust procedures in place to assess the security of both critical systems and their suppliers, whether those systems are procured from overseas or within the UK. The MOD requires all suppliers to engage with the Defence Cyber Protection Partnership, which ensures cyber security controls in the supply chain are proportionate to the nature of the contract. It is important that Sir Robert Francis QC, the independent reviewer, is able to complete his work as quickly as thoroughness allows.</p><p><strong><br></strong>At the outset of the Infected Blood Inquiry, the then Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster decided that it was overwhelmingly in the public interest that legal representation for infected and affected core participants in the inquiry should be funded by Government, and without means testing. This funding will continue until the conclusion of the Inquiry. However, this study is quite separate from the Inquiry. Sir Robert will want to hear directly from infected and affected people and put them at the heart of the process. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/05/2021 answer text <p>The response provided related to landfill tax fraud.</p><p> </p><p>Two Honourable Members have met with HMRC on their investigation into the suspected systematic abuse of the landfill tax system, referred to as Operation Nosedive.</p><p> </p><p>Landfill Tax is a devolved tax. 125 companies pay Landfill Tax to HMRC in relation to landfill sites in England. 16 companies pay Landfill Disposal Tax to the Welsh Revenue Authority, along with 1 City Council. 28 companies pay the Scottish Landfill Tax (SLT) to Revenue Scotland, along with 7 Unitary Authorities and 1 Public Body.</p><p> </p><p>As at 20 May 2021 there are approximately 48 HMRC investigators working on landfill tax compliance. Of this number approximately 10 HMRC investigators are looking into the issue of landfill tax fraud.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC have a statutory duty of confidentiality to protect information held about taxpayers, so that such information is not passed to unauthorised parties. HMRC’s ability to disclose information held about taxpayers is restricted by the Commissioners for Revenue and Customs Act 2005 (CRCA).
