As I made clear in my earlier response in October last year, the previous Foreign Secretary issued a statement expressing concern about the approval of 31 construction permits in Hebron for the first time in 15 years. The Government’s position on settlements is clear. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/12/2018 answer text <p>We have allocated a £3.6 million Dublin development fund, as part of the Sandhurst Treaty signed between the UK and France in January 2018, to identify projects to support eligible claims through the asylum process and ensure those who are ineligible for transfer to the UK are informed of their options. We are in the process of transferring these funds and will continue to work with the French Government to implement this work. We will update Parliament as and when we have relevant information to share.</p><p>As of June 2018, a total of 12,851 people had been resettled in the UK under the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) since it began across 288 local authorities. The Home Office is committed to publishing data in an orderly way as part of the regular quarterly Immigration Statistics, in line with the UK Statistics Authority’s Code of Practice for Official Statistics. The statistics are available at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-statistics-quarterly-release" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-statistics-quarterly-release</a>. We are confident that the VPRS is on track to deliver the commitment. We particularly welcome the commitments in the joint statement to a 'lasting ceasefire' in Idlib and to formation of a Constitutional Committee by the end of 2018. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/11/2018 answer text <p>The Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) offers a safe and le-gal route to the UK, prioritising the most vulnerable refugees from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This means those currently in Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Egypt. The Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme (VCRS) resettles ‘at-risk’ refugee children and their families from the region.</p><p>Resettlement is one part of the UK’s response to the refugee crisis and is complemented by the UK’s significant humanitarian aid programme and dip-lomatic efforts to end the Syrian conflict. We believe this approach is the best way to ensure that the UK’s help has the greatest impact for the majority of refugees who remain in the region and their host countries, whilst recognising that for some vulnerable people the only solution is to bring them to countries like the UK.</p><p>In addition, the Government has committed to relocate 480 unaccompanied children from Europe to the UK under section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016. That is why we have recently published our Rough Sleeping Strategy, which will help people who sleep rough now and puts in place the structures to end rough sleeping once and for all. It sets out the first steps towards achieving our aim to halve rough sleeping by 2022 and end it altogether by 2027, backed by £100 million of funding over the next two years.</p><p>We have set up a Rough Sleeping and Homelessness Reduction Taskforce which brings together ministers from key departments in preventing and reducing rough sleeping and homelessness, including the Department for Health and Social Care. The Taskforce will drive forward the implementation and delivery of our Rough Sleeping Strategy to achieve our commitment. Alongside the Taskforce, we have an expert Rough Sleeping Advisory Panel formed of key representatives from the homelessness sector and local government who fed into the Strategy and will continue to meet.</p><p>We are also committed to working with all local authorities as we move towards a country where no one should ever sleep rough through our Rough Sleeping Initiative, in which we are providing 1,750 additional bed spaces for rough sleepers and an additional 531 dedicated homelessness workers. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/11/2018 answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office continues to advise against all travel to Gaza (including the waters off Gaza) and we are not able to support individuals applying for entry or exit permits for Gaza. The Government recognises the need for major international organisations to carry out humanitarian and reconstruction work on the ground in Gaza. Medical staff should co-ordinate their entry to and exit from Gaza with those organisations. Israeli restrictions severely restrict the movement of medical professionals and patients in Gaza, hampering the provision of quality health services, as well as the pursuit of studies, continuing education and specialized training for medical professionals. Our Embassy in Israel regularly raises the matter of medical permits with the Israeli authorities.</p><p>We regularly raise issues relating to medical facilities and personnel with the Israeli authorities. We have stressed the need for safe and unimpeded passage for medical personnel. In particular we raise our concerns about medical facilities in Gaza, and medical permits, with the office for the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). Our Ambassador to Israel discussed Gaza with COGAT on 17 September. In all but the most exceptional circumstances, demolitions are contrary to International Humanitarian Law. The practice causes unnecessary suffering to ordinary Palestinians and is harmful to the peace process.
