answer text <p>The addition of new countries and competent authorities to Appendix H is based on objective data. As stated in my previous response to UIN 160204 and UIN 157145, the factors which are considered include the volume of students from a country and their Tier 4 immigration compliance risk.</p><p>Information on risk profiles is sensitive and cannot be disclosed.</p><p>We will keep Appendix H under review, adding and removing countries and competent authorities from this list based on objective criteria at each refresh.</p> more like this

Research specifically on Tuberculosis (TB) pathogens was deprioritised for this competition as there are established global funds targeting the development of new treatments for TB.</p><p> </p><p>The United Kingdom is contributing to a reduction in drug resistant TB by implementing the Collaborative TB Strategy for England, which parallels and integrates with the aims and actions of the UK Antimicrobial Resistance strategy.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Under the proposed broadband Universal Service Obligation, it will be for industry rather than the consumer to cover the cost of connection up a reasonable cost threshold of £3,400. We also proposed that for premises where the cost of the connection exceeds this threshold, consumers would have the option of paying the excess costs in order to get connected.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We set out the full details of our proposals in our consultation on the design of the Universal Service Obligation (USO) https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/broadband-universal-service-obligation-consultation-on-design.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We will shortly be publishing our full response to the consultation and setting the overall design for the USO in secondary legislation.</p><p> </p> more like this
