answer text <p>The UK enjoys a close relationship with the Government of Bahrain which allows us to speak honestly about a range of issues, including human rights. Where we have concerns on specific issues we raise these with the Bahraini authorities through various channels, including the bi-annual UK-Bahrain Joint Working Group co-chaired by the Minister for the Middle East and his Bahraini opposite number. The last of which was held on 19 July 2018.</p><p>The British High Commissioner met the Minister of Interior of Cameroon on 25 July 2018 and discussed human rights in Cameroon.</p><p>The Minister for Africa raised human rights in Eritrea with the Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Mohammed when they met in New York on 25 September 2018.</p><p>The Minister for Asia and the Pacific raised concerns about the human rights situation in the Philippines with the Philippines Government during his trip to Manila on 16-17 August 2018.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There is no minimum legal time between the announcement of a train's boarding platform and its subsequent departure.</p><p> </p><p>The Department expects train operating companies and station operators to provide timely, accurate information to all passengers at every stage of their journey, including prior to departure. The National Rail Conditions of Travel place a responsibility on operators to make available information that will help passengers to plan and successfully complete their journey. All operators are required as a condition of their licence to have in place a Disabled People’s Protection Policy with a commitment to providing, wherever possible, clear and consistent aural and visual information of train departures and other relevant messages, particularly in the event of delays or disruption.</p><p> </p><p>Station staff are encouraged to be alert to anybody who may require assistance.</p> more like this

answer text <p>While the conflict is ongoing, our priority is to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to those affected. Since the liberation of Ar-Raqqa from Da’esh, the UK has increased its response to meet the needs of those affected in the city and the rest of North Eastern Syria to help fund a range of activities including mine clearance; health provisions; protection; clean water; sanitation; education; food; and agricultural support. We have limited access to Ar-Raqqa at present due in part to extensive mine contamination from Da’esh’s previous occupation, which has hampered humanitarian efforts and poses a critical risk to civilians. As such, it is not possible at present to accurately assess the costs of reconstruction. The UK will only provide support for reconstruction in Syria once a credible, inclusive political transition is firmly underway.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Data Protection Act places an obligation on all organisations, including those that make mobile phone applications, to be clear about how they process individuals’ personal data and ensure that any consent obtained for its use is clear, unambiguous and purposeful. This information, along with individuals’ rights under the Data Protection Act, should be set out clearly in a privacy notice.</p><p> </p><p>The Information Commissioner regulates and enforces the Data Protection Act and has a number of tools available to ensure compliance with data protection rules which include criminal prosecution, non-criminal enforcement and audits. For those who commit serious breaches there are significant financial penalties including fines up to £18 million or 4% of global turnover that can be applied as well as the backstop of criminal prosecution.</p> more like this

We call on China to ensure all those detained have access to their choice of lawyer and are protected from torture and mistreatment in line with Chinese and international law and are monitoring the situation. As permanent members of the UN Security Council and with China’s growing global role, we will continue to work with China on important global challenges including through multilateral organisations such as the UN, G20 and WTO.</p> more like this
