answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/05/2023 answer text <p>As previously announced, the Disability Action Plan will set out the immediate action the Government will take in 2023 and 2024 to improve disabled people’s lives, as well as laying the foundations for longer term change.</p><p>There is already significant work being taken forward by individual Government departments in areas disabled people have told us are a priority. This includes reforms to employment and welfare via the DWP’s <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/transforming-support-the-health-and-disability-white-paper" target="_blank">‘Transforming Support: Health and Disability White Paper’</a>, and strategies to address health and social care via DHSC’s <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/people-at-the-heart-of-care-adult-social-care-reform-white-paper" target="_blank">‘People at the Heart of Care White Paper’</a>. These are long term reform efforts which are already underway and outside the scope of a new one to two year action plan.</p><p>The plan will go further in areas where we think joint action across Government departments can make a tangible difference to disabled people’s lives in the immediate term - or where we can make meaningful progress towards a longer term goal, for example improved disability data and evidence.</p><p>We are planning to consult on the Disability Action Plan this summer, publishing a full draft of the plan alongside a set of consultation questions.</p><p>This consultation will be an opportunity for everyone - disabled people, disabled people’s organisations, other interested parties - to have their say on the Disability Action Plan. It is important that policies to tackle child sexual abuse, in every part of Government and across all agencies - education, health, social care, law enforcement, industry and civil society, are grounded in evidence so that they are effective in tackling this crime and safeguarding children.</p><p> </p><p>To further build our understanding of the threat, Home Office funding provides a dedicated analyst, working on child sexual abuse and exploitation, in each of the ten policing Regional Organised Crime Units based in England and Wales. The Prime Minister and Home Secretary recently announced a new Child Sexual Exploitation Police Taskforce, which will develop a Complex and Organised Child Abuse Database to strengthen what we know about the scale, risk and prevalence of child sexual abuse and exploitation, as well as rolling out the Tackling Organised Exploitation Programme to give a clearer picture of organised exploitation. The final report of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse constitutes an important milestone in our efforts to tackle this crime.</p><p>The work of the Inquiry over the past seven years has shone a light on the institutional failings of the past and given a voice to victims. The Final Report provides truly shocking insight on the unimaginable abuse suffered by children, and draws out stark failings by institutions, leaders, and professionals to protect them from harm. This system is often referred to as the ‘sex offenders’ register’ and requires offenders to provide the police with a record of their national insurance number, as well as other personal details such as their name, date of birth, and bank details. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/04/2023 answer text <p>Defence and the Office for Veterans’ Affairs jointly commissioned the independent review to better understand the impacts and implications of the pre 2000 policy relating to homosexual people serving in HM Armed Forces. The review underlines Defence’s unwavering commitment to understanding how best to support its veteran and LGBT community.</p><p> </p><p>LGBT veterans who served from 1967 to 2000 were invited to provide testimony of their experience. Testimony was also sought from those who witnessed the treatment of LGBT personnel; those involved in delivering the ban and friends and families of LGBT veterans no longer able to give evidence. The call seeking this testimony and views from individuals and organisations was made on 5 August 2022 and closed on 1 December 2022.</p><p> </p><p>The report and recommendations are expected to be submitted for the Government’s consideration in May 2023.
