answer text <p>Mr Fullbrook has a standard Special Adviser employment contract which covers his entire appointment as Chief of Staff. While a secondment was initially discussed, it was decided to instead employ Mr Fullbrook directly and a secondment agreement was never put in place.</p><p>The <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/911037/Model_Contract_for_Special_Advisers_-_August_2020.pdf" target="_blank">Model Contract for Special Advisers</a>, which sets out the terms of employment for special advisers, is available on GOV.UK. Together, with the <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/832599/201612_Code_of_Conduct_for_Special_Advisers.pdf" target="_blank">Code of Conduct for Special Advisers</a> and the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/civil-service-code/the-civil-service-code" target="_blank">Civil Service Code</a>, this constitutes a special adviser’s contract of employment with the Crown.</p><p>All civil servants, whether on secondment or directly employed, are subject to the necessary checks and vetting, as was Mr Fullbrook.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p>Over 5 million people delayed their passport applications in 2020 and 2021. With demand for international travel having returned, Her Majesty’s Passport Office is currently receiving a higher number of passport applications than ever before. Some 9.5 million applications are expected in 2022, compared with approximately 7 million in a normal year, hence us advising since April 2021 of a longer turnaround time of 10 weeks.</p><p>We will continue to monitor when the demand for passports returns closer to normal levels and act accordingly.</p> more like this
