answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2019 answer text <p>We have not set local targets for reducing air pollution.</p><p> </p><p>We set concentration limits for a range of pollutants which local authorities are expected to ensure compliance with. The Government announced an intention to end the sale of all new conventional cars and vans by 2040 as part of the ‘UK plan for tackling roadside nitrogen dioxide concentrations’ (July 2017).
