In 2016/17, 2,922 state funded secondary schools (85% of all state funded secondary schools) had one or more pupils taking a Design and Technology (D&amp;T) GCSE. Data for 2018 will not be available until October 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The Department does not provide financial support or training to existing D&amp;T teachers in relation to the new GCSE. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland are responsible for promoting the UK as a tourist destination, through a range of different initiatives and campaigns.</p><p> </p><p>VisitEngland are also in charge of the £40m Discover England Fund which creates innovative, bookable tourism products throughout England which are aimed at specific international markets. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/09/2018 answer text <p>The government is committed to making sure that victims of crime have access to a broad range of support services, to help them cope with and, as far as possible, recover from the effects of crime. In 2017/18 we spent £97m to fund support services for victims of crime, we are forecast to spend broadly the same in 2018-19.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Justice provides approximately £68m of this funding to Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC) to commission victim support services locally, based on the needs identified in their area. Just over £1.3m of this was allocated to the PCC for Nottinghamshire.</p><p> </p><p>My officials are considering longer-term and more sustainable funding arrangements as part of our work to develop a new delivery model for supporting victims and witnesses of crime. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2018 answer text <p>Like all local areas, East Midlands local authorities and clinical commissioning groups have pooled budgets under the Better Care Fund (BCF) for the purposes of integrated care, and developed BCF plans according to their local needs.</p><p> </p><p>The BCF has encouraged collaborative working in local areas. Many local areas in East Midlands voluntarily pooled more BCF funds than required. Their local health and care leaders also indicated that the overall delivery of the BCF has improved joint working and integration of health and social care in their area.</p><p> </p><p>The Five Year Forward View set out a clear vision on how to close the gaps of the health and wellbeing of the population, the quality of care provided, and the finances and efficiencies of NHS services. Sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) and integrated care systems (ICSs) are the NHS’s chosen vehicle to deliver this vision. All local areas, including those in East Midlands, have already got their local plans and partnerships in place to achieve this. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/09/2018 answer text <p>The Government’s externally led review of exclusions practice, led by Edward Timpson CBE, is considering how schools use exclusion, how this impacts their pupils, and why some groups of pupils are more likely to be excluded. It is also considering practice in relation to behavior management and early intervention measures that schools take to reduce the risk of exclusion.</p><p>To help schools develop effective strategies, the Department has produced advice covering what should be included in their behaviour policy. The Bennett Review of behaviour in schools report Creating a Culture, published last year, also provides practical advice for head teachers about creating a culture that prevents classroom disruption, maintains good discipline and promotes pupils’ education, focus and wellbeing. The report includes early intervention strategies such as ‘internal inclusion units’ to avoid exclusions and case studies of policies in place. As part of the Industrial Strategy we have an action plan to unlock over £20bn of investment in innovative and high potential businesses. As part of this, British Patient Capital – a wholly-owned commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank – has been given resources of £2.5bn and will deliver a new programme designed to support UK businesses with high growth potential to access the long-term financing they need to scale up.</p><p> </p><p>We have also created a network of 38 Growth Hubs across England, and we are tackling late payments by appointing a Small Business Commissioner.</p><p> </p><p>Growth Hubs are a single point of contact providing SMEs with access to information and advice. The D2N2 Growth Hub - operating in the Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area - has had 6,583 interactions with SMEs since its launch in December 2015.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>SMEs across the UK benefit from programmes operated by the Government-owned British Business Bank (BBB). BBB programmes are currently supporting £575.2m of finance for SMEs in the East Midlands Region, across 3,669 businesses. Also, as of 31 March through the BBB-owned Start-Up Loans programme, 779 loans have been made to individuals in Nottinghamshire, totalling £5.2m.</p><p> </p><p>The Business Support Helpline, Government’s free centralised business advice and support service, has received 432 contacts from the Nottinghamshire area since 2015.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2015/16 nearly 70 SMEs in the Nottinghamshire area have received Innovate UK funding in total and this includes some companies who are in receipt of multiple awards. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2018 answer text <p>We ran a public consultation from 30 November 2017 to 8 February 2018 to obtain views on the major aspects of our proposals for implementing T Levels. This involved publishing our proposals online, alongside a survey for respondents to complete. The consultation generated 430 responses from a wide range of organisation types and individuals, including education institutions. We also held a series of 10 consultation events around the country, with over 500 people attending. We carefully reviewed all responses to the consultation and published a response in May, which is available online here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/implementation-of-t-level-programmes" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/implementation-of-t-level-programmes</a>.</p><p>We have announced the providers who will deliver the first three T Levels from September 2020, and we will be working closely with the sector to design and develop a programme of support to help providers and teachers to prepare for the delivery of T Levels.
