answer text <p>The ring-fenced public health grant for local authorities will remain in place for 2017-18. In 2015, the Government announced that by the end of this Parliament local government would retain all of the money it raises through business rates. The Government consulted over the summer on an option for fully funding local authorities’ public health spending from their retained business rates receipts. We are currently considering the responses to this consultation and will publish a summary of the responses and a proposed way forward in due course.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Road investment decisions are supported with a five-part business case. The economic case aims to provide a comprehensive overview of a proposal’s impacts. These include a wide range of social and environmental factors, as well as time savings and economic impacts. The proportion of time saving benefits which are attributed to average time savings ‎per trip of two minutes or less varies between projects, depending on the nature of the scheme, and is not centrally held.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government condemns antisemitism wherever it occurs, including on university campuses. Universities and student societies need to be robust in tackling these kinds of issues. Universities are autonomous and have processes for dealing with concerns and complaints where they are raised, unless there are regulatory issues to be addressed.</p><p>The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) holds ongoing discussions (both formal and informal) with institutions, including the University of Oxford, on a regular basis. As the regulator, HEFCE has established procedures for following on up concerns raised about universities. No concerns have been raised with HEFCE about the implementation by the University of Oxford of its policies and procedures on this issue.</p> more like this

The British Ambassador raised this with the Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting on 19 September highlighting the importance of protecting freedom of media and expression, as guaranteed by Zimbabwe’s 2013 constitution. Information on how many forms were submitted late in each of the last five years is not routinely recorded<strong>. </strong>However, when a form is received 14 days after the date of termination, officials send a letter to the terminating doctor reminding them of their legal obligations. Wilful non-compliance with the notification requirements is a criminal offence and would be reported to the police to investigate.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The DFID-funded Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Support Programme is assisting the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to develop policies to address inequality and improve educational outcomes for all children in the province. The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa implements the 2006 national curriculum which has been independently assessed to be based on the values of democracy, pluralism and peace. DFID is also supporting the government to revise its textbooks which will include replacing any content that promotes prejudice and discrimination against religious or other minorities.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Journey time reliability impacts are a key component of the WebTAG appraisal system, and their assessment is recommended for all scheme appraisals where relevant and proportionate to the decision at hand.</p><p> </p><p>WebTAG includes a robust methodology for monetising reliability impacts, drawing on the best available evidence base on the benefits to travellers of more reliable journeys. The Department’s value for money assessments take into account reliability benefits when considering the economic worth of a project.</p><p> </p><p>The relative size of reliability benefits compared to other impacts, such as travel time savings, varies significantly from scheme to scheme.
