answer text <p>We are fully committed to enabling the Inquiry to get to the bottom of the Horizon scandal so it can set out exactly what went wrong. Ministers and senior civil servants are responsible and accountable for policy, and we have therefore asked that the Inquiry redact the names of junior civil servants that appear in documents we provide if they have not had a decision-making role. This request is consistent with the approach adopted by the department when handling matters covered by the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.</p><p> </p><p>The Department’s definition of a junior civil servant is those at Grades 6 and 7, Senior Executive Officer (“SEO”), Higher Executive Officer (“HEO”), Executive Officer (“EO”) or Administrative Officer/Assistant levels.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Competition for the New Medium Helicopter (NMH) is ongoing. The Contract Notice and Dynamic Pre-Qualification Questionnaire were released on 18 May 22. For reasons of commercial sensitivity it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is fully engaged with the NATO Next Generation Rotorcraft Capability (NGRC) project in order to develop options for potential replacements for our current and planned fleets of Medium helicopters. NATO NGRC is anticipated to enter service from circa 2035. NGRC may be a potential candidate to replace the Merlin helicopter as it reaches its planned Out of Service Date (OSD) of 2040 and also the NMH once its OSD has been established.</p> more like this

answer text <p>This Government is committed to the Right to Buy, which has helped nearly two million social housing tenants to realise their dream of home ownership.</p><p>The Prime Minister announced on 9 June 2022 the intention to extend the Right to Buy to housing association tenants, and that homes sold under an extended Right to Buy scheme will be replaced on a one-for-one basis.</p><p>We will be working closely with the housing association sector as we develop the scheme and will announce more details in due course.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Type 32 programme will be the first of a new generation of warships specifically designed from the outset to be optimised to host and deploy autonomous offboard systems.</p><p> </p><p>The early pre-concept phase has commenced, and the focus is now on developing the operational concept, including how they might support the Future Commando Force within a Littoral Response Group.
