answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/08/2017 answer text <p>Domestic abuse is a devastating crime and we are determined to ensure that women, regardless of their circumstances, should receive the support they need when they need it.</p><p>Our Manifesto included a commitment to ensure that those who have a lifetime tenancy and flee domestic violence are able to secure a new lifetime tenancy automatically. We are currently working on how we can deliver this, and an announcement will be made in due course.</p><p>We have already acted to put measures in place to support victims of domestic abuse. These include the securing of a dedicated fund totalling £40 million over four years (2016 - 2020), building on the £13.5 million provided between 2014 and 2016. The funding will provide provision for refuges and other specialist accommodation-based services to support victims of domestic abuse and service reform. Where Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) cladding is present on housing over 18 metres in height, the Government is providing testing for local authorities, housing associations and private sector landlords free of charge. If the screening tests indicate that such cladding would not meet the limited combustibility requirements of the current Building Regulations guidance, local authorities, housing associations, private sector landlords and the fire and rescue service will determine the best course of action, communicating closely with residents. We have given landlords advice on the immediate mitigating actions they should take and are consulting an expert advisory panel to develop further advice. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2017 answer text <p>In December 2016, Defra consulted on proposals to introduce Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) emissions controls on generators alongside its consultation on proposals for the implementation of the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD), aimed at improving air quality. The definition of generators used in the proposal captures those with a rated input of between 1MW thermal and 50MW thermal, although site aggregation means that some plants below this amount may also be affected if the total input on the same site falls within the proposed range. Insufficient controls on diesel generator emissions risk distorting electricity markets by encouraging new diesel at the expense of cleaner gas generation. Following the consultation on tightening controls, the 2016/17 capacity market auctions resulted in significantly fewer new diesel projects. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/07/2017 answer text <p>Local authorities already have strong powers to tackle poor property conditions.</p><p>We encourage local authorities to take action where properties are neglected and their condition adversely affects the amenity of an area. There are already extensive powers available to authorities which range from notices under section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 which can deal with derelict land and buildings to section 29 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 for works on unoccupied buildings.</p><p>Council and housing association landlords are responsible for most repairs to their housing stock. Social landlords are obliged, by law, to maintain the structure and exterior of their properties.</p><p>All properties in the social and private sectors must comply with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System. Where a property has serious hazards that present a risk to health and safety, local authorities can carry out an assessment under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
