In doing so it is important to consider whether the legislation will deliver the intended effects or whether there are more appropriate routes to delivering the same outcomes.</p><p> </p><p>With regard to hedgehogs, while we are concerned about their conservation status, there is no clear evidence to indicate additional protection by adding them to Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will be effective in supporting recovery of the species. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2023 answer text <p>The proportion of prison leavers in employment six months after their release has more than doubled in the two years to March 2023.</p><p> </p><p>Ministers and officials across government already work together on measures to support ex-offenders into work and reduce reoffending. A <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-partnership-agreement-for-employment-and-welfare-support-in-custody-and-the-community-2023-to-2026" target="_blank">National Partnership Agreement</a> between Ministry of Justice, HM Prison and Probation Service, and Department for Work and Pensions sets out how we jointly support prisoners in custody to prepare for employment on release and ensure prison leavers continue to access support in the community to obtain work.</p><p> </p><p>Prison Employment Hubs have increased in number providing a space where offenders can get much needed support into work. DWP provides around 200 Prison Work Coaches who work alongside Prison Employment Leads and other prison services to provide employment and training support before release. The New Futures Network and DWP’s National Employment and Partnership Team broker relationships with employers helping them understand the advantages to their business of employing ex-offenders. Fortunately, oil prices have fallen significantly from their 2022 peak and so there are currently no plans for the Alternative Fuel Payment scheme to be renewed for winter 2023/24. This programme was expanded upon by the Government's new Back to Work Plan, announced as part of the Autumn Statement. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/11/2023 answer text <p>National Health Service organisations and publicly funded social care providers must comply with the Accessible Information Standard (AIS) to meet the communication needs of patients and carers with a disability, impairment, or sensory loss. NHS England has completed a review of the AIS to help ensure that everyone’s communication needs are met in health and care provision. The review considered the effectiveness of the current AIS, how the standard is implemented and enforced in practice, and identified recommendations for improvement. The revised standard will be published in due course.</p><p>Following publication of the revised standard, NHS England will continue work to support implementation with awareness raising, communication and engagement and updated e-learning modules on the AIS to ensure NHS staff are better aware of the standard and their roles and responsibilities in implementing it.</p><p>These actions should support better and more consistent implementation of the standard.</p><p>In addition to the AIS, following Royal Assent of the British Sign Language Act 2022, the Government Communication Service will promote and facilitate the use of British Sign Language (BSL) in communications with the public. This is expected to support BSL users to access public services, including health and care services. Our work to promote BSL builds on a longstanding departmental commitment to ensuring our content is accessible for disabled audiences. Our GOV.UK and social media content closely follows guidance from the Government Digital Service.
