answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2021 answer text <p>Attendance Allowance (AA) is intended to help those with a severe disability who have long term care or supervision needs where those needs arise after reaching State Pension age. Entitlement is based on the on-going need for frequent personal care and attention, or supervision to ensure personal safety. A mobility component for those whose needs arise after State Pension age is not provided as it is expected that many older people will develop mobility issues as part of the ageing process. This is a long standing policy continued by successive Governments. There is no constraint on what the benefit can be used for, and individual recipients can choose to use their Attendance Allowance to fund mobility aids.</p><p> </p><p>Latest published figures at end of February 2021, show that nationally there were 1.49m claimants of AA, of which 2,222 were in the Barnsley Central Parliamentary Constituency. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/10/2021 answer text <p>All teachers are teachers of special education needs and disabilities (SEND), and the high quality teaching is central to ensuring that pupils with SEND are given the best possible opportunity to achieve at school.</p><p>From September 2020, all new teachers will benefit from at least three years of evidence based professional development and support, starting with Initial Teacher Training (ITT) based on the new ITT Core Content Framework (CCF), and followed by a new two-year induction underpinned by the Early Career Framework (ECF).</p><p>The CCF sets out a minimum entitlement of knowledge, skills and experiences that trainees need to enter the profession in the best position possible to teach and support all pupils to succeed, including those pupils identified within the four areas of need set out in the SEND code of practice.</p><p>ITT providers must design their courses to incorporate the knowledge, skills and experiences detailed in the CCF into a coherent sequence to support trainees to develop their expertise<em>. </em>Courses must be designed so that trainee teachers can demonstrate that they meet the Teachers’ Standards at the appropriate level. This includes the requirement in Standard 5, that all teachers must have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs.</p><p>The Department’s vision is that ITT based on the CCF will be the foundation on which early career training and support is built. The ECF underpins what all Early Career Teachers should learn, and learn how to do, based on expert guidance and the best available research evidence. It was designed in consultation with the education sector, including SEND specialists, and covers five core areas: behaviour management, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and professional behaviours. It is designed to work for all Early Career Teachers regardless of subject, phase or school.</p><p>Alongside this, through our contract with the National Association for Special Educational Needs, the department has funded the Whole School SEND consortium to equip the workforce to deliver high quality teaching for all children and young people with SEND. This includes providing training and resources for teaching and support staff. The funding in the 2021-22 financial year will bring the total funding for this contract to over £8 million since 2018.</p><p>High-quality professional development is important for teachers at all stages of their careers, to ensure they receive appropriate support and to enable them to consistently improve their practices. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/10/2021 answer text <p>Only milk and relevant dairy products are currently eligible for subsidy in the School Milk Scheme and there are no plans to subsidise plant-based beverages.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Government recognises that some children with clinical and dietary needs are unable to consume milk and expects schools to make reasonable adjustments for those with particular needs. The School Food Standards only require milk to be available, but they also enable schools in England to provide a variety of other products to meet pupils’ particular dietary needs, including plain soya, rice or oat drinks enriched with calcium and combination and flavoured variations of these drinks. It concluded that, from a toxicological perspective, neither the safety of these products, nor the suitability of current guidance, could be confirmed. The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) has also raised concerns that substituting these products for milk could lead to an increased risk of insufficient nutrient intake in young children. It highlighted the high level of uncertainty on nutritional composition of these products and limited data on their consumption by young children. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/10/2021 answer text <p>Through the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS), the UK will relocate up to 20,000 people at risk, including women and girls and minority groups, so they can rebuild their lives in safety.</p><p>Information on the eligibility, prioritisation and referral of people for the ACRS is set out in the policy statement published on gov.uk on 13 September, available at <a href="http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/afghanistan-resettlement-and-immigration-policy-statement" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/government/publications/afghanistan-resettlement-and-immigration-policy-statement</a>.</p><p>The scheme is not yet open. However, the first to be resettled through this scheme will include those who arrived in the UK under the evacuation programme, which included individuals who were considered to be at particular risk – including women’s rights activists, prosecutors and journalists. Those providing inadequate services receive a five-day warning to demonstrate they have rectified their service and if they do not, are removed from the GOV.UK list.
