answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/11/2014 answer text <p>It is the responsibility of each local authority to balance the supply and demand for primary and secondary school places in their area and secure a place for every child of statutory age who wants one.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education collects information from local authorities on the number of school places (school capacity) in state-funded primary and secondary schools, (except special schools) and local authorities’ own pupil forecasts, as part of the annual School Capacity Collection. The most recent data available relates to the position at May 2013 and is published online at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-capacity-academic-year-2012-to-2013" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-capacity-academic-year-2012-to-2013</a></p><p> </p><p>Information on the requirement for secondary school places amongst religious denominations is not available. Local authorities are required to provide pupil forecasts at planning area level and broken down by year group, from Reception to Year 13. We do not collect forecasts of pupil numbers by religious denomination.</p><p>We continue to provide capital funding to local authorities to assist them in providing additional school places, and we monitor the situation regularly to ensure there are sufficient places to meet local need. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2014 answer text <p>In recent weeks, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have exchanged fire across the Demilitarised Zone which separates both countries. On 10 October, DPRK troops fired at balloons containing leaflets sent by South Korean non-governmental organisation activists across the border resulting in the ROK military returning fire. On 19 October, the ROK fired warning shots at DPRK troops approaching the border resulting in another exchange of fire. No casualties were reported. <br><br>We call on both sides to exercise restraint. Both the DPRK and ROK have recently engaged in dialogue, including holding high-level military talks on 15 October. When teaching SRE, all schools (including academies through their funding agreements) must have regard to the Secretary of State’s guidance.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The statutory guidance makes clear that all sex and relationship education should be age-appropriate and that schools should ensure that young people develop positive values and a moral framework that will guide their decisions, judgments and behaviour.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Education also encourages schools to draw on resources produced by experts to inform their SRE teaching. The Home Office assesses each asylum and human rights claim case carefully on its individual merits, taking full account of the latest available country information, case law and UNHCR Eligibility Guidelines for Assessing the Internal Protection Needs of Asylum Seekers. Individuals who face a risk of ill treatment, including torture, on return to Sri Lanka will be granted international protection, and would not be returned. As part of the UK’s G8 action plan to prevent misuse of companies and legal arrangements, the Government has committed to support all the Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies to publish Action Plans setting out the concrete steps, where needed, to fully implement international standards set by the Financial Action Task Force. They have published these action plans, and have committed to carry out their National Risk Assessments. The Cayman Islands is also a member of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF), the Caribbean regional body responsible for assessing and combating money laundering and terrorist financing. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2014 answer text <p>Public Health England (PHE) has worked closely with the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC) to raise awareness of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV). There is detailed information and advice for travellers on how to protect themselves from infection, and how to access medical care if they feel unwell on their return to the United Kingdom. This advice can be accessed via the NaTHNaC and PHE websites.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Additionally PHE has developed posters providing travel advice to raise awareness of MERS-CoV and provide advice on how to reduce the risk of infection. These posters are available on the PHE website and have also been distributed through PHE social network platforms, and shared with airports and air carriers. There is also specific advice provided for people attending the Hajj.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>PHE has worked with national, local and ethnic media to raise awareness of MERS-CoV with press releases, social media activity, and provision of expert spokespeople. Border Force officers refer people subject to immigration control who they suspect have a serious communicable disease to a medical inspector on arrival at the UK border.<br><br>Guidance has been circulated to all frontline officers and reinforced by verbal briefings from senior managers.
