answer text We have serious concerns over evidence of ongoing Iranian support for a number of terrorist groups in the Middle East, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the military wings of Hizballah and Hamas. Such activity is in contravention of UN sanctions and undermines regional security. During our bilateral engagement with Iran over the past year, we have raised our concerns over Iran’s activities in Syria and its support for militant groups across the Middle East. We hope that the Iranian government will respond to the shared threat from ISIL by aligning their approach with the international community’s efforts to bring stability to Iraq and Syria. more like this

answer text <p /> <p>The coalition government recognises the devastating impact wildlife crime has on both the environment and in funding organised criminality, and we take the issue, both domestically and internationally, very seriously.<br> <br> We have changed recording practices to ensure that, for the first time, wildlife crime is reported as a separate item in police recorded crime. However, we recognise that the legislation could be modernised and simplified. answer text <p>The Government is committed to improving the local road network. Road improvements in Wales are a devolved matter and therefore the responsibility of the Welsh Government.</p><p> </p><p>The attached table includes funding we have provided through the local Highways Maintenance Block, Integrated Transport Block, Severe Weather Funding, Local Major Projects and Local Pinch Point Fund schemes. The table does not include funding provided through the Bus Service Operators Grant, Local Sustainable Transport Fund, or Cycling Grant.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is also funding local highways maintenance projects in Portsmouth, Birmingham, Sheffield, Isle of Wight and the London Borough of Hounslow through the Private Finance Initiative.</p><p> </p><p>Local authorities are also able to use revenue funding, allocated by the Department of Communities and Local Government through the Revenue Support Grant for maintaining their local highways. It is for local highway authorities to decide upon their spending priorities across the whole range of services that they provide.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

answer text <p>A statistical release covering take-up of the Employment Allowance, including regional and constituency data, is already scheduled for publication on the 7<sup>th</sup> November.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The release will cover take-up for the first six months of 2014-15. The scheme as a whole has enjoyed good take-up so far. A press release from July 2014 announced that by the end of June around 725,000 businesses and charities; including around 72,000 in the East of England, around 616,000 in England, and around 30,000 in Wales had benefitted from the allowance.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>This demonstrates the Government’s commitment to reducing the costs of employment for small businesses across the UK.</p><p> </p> more like this
