answer text <p>The Home Office is not able to commission health services for asylum seekers, and we do not fund healthcare.</p><p>We work closely with NHS and LA partners to support the health needs of asylum seekers. All asylum seekers have access to NHS services from arrival in the UK. The Home Office and its contractors work closely with the NHS, local authorities and non-governmental organisations to ensure that people can access the health care and support they need.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In developing proposals at fiscal events, including previous and forthcoming events, such as the Autumn Statement planned for 17 November, the Treasury takes care to ensure compliance with legal requirements under the Public Sector Equality Duty in the Equality Act 2010 to consider the impact of its decisions on those sharing protected characteristics.</p><p>This is in line with both our legal obligations to pay “due regard” to equality impacts, and with our strong commitment to promoting fairness.</p><p>In the interests of transparency, HMRC publishes a summary of equality impacts for tax measures within the Tax Information and Impact Notes alongside the associated legislation.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The General Medical Council and Healthcare Professions Council ensure that graduates are equipped with the skills required to treat patients who come to seek help. It is for individual NHS Employers to ensure that NHS staff have the up to date skills they need to treat patients referred for treatment.</p><p>Health Education England published in September 2021 “The Standards for the Foot Health Workforce”. Amendments were made to the Standards following the consultation and the final version of the Standards, alongside the consultation findings, were published in May 2022.</p><p>The Foot Health Standards are part of work that aims to increase the supply of podiatrists in the NHS while expanding the role of the support workforce. The Standards will ensure that the NHS recognises the knowledge and skills of the wider foot health support workforce.</p> more like this
