answer text <p>Transport in London is devolved to the Mayor of London and delivered by Transport for London (TfL). I understand TfL has developed best practice training for motorcyclists in London, with more than 3,000 riders in London taking part in the last financial year.</p><p>This includes tailored servicing and delivery training to more than 250 courier riders to help them feel better skilled, safe and confident on London’s roads, as well as a free 1-2-1 session with a qualified instructor.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The department does not collect data specifically on whether drivers and riders involved in road accidents are learners. The department collects data on personal injury road accidents reported to the police, including contributory factors which the police select when they attend the scene. answer text <p>If a paying parent is found to be habitually resident in the UK, the Child Maintenance Service has jurisdiction to perform a calculation, once a legal liability to pay child maintenance is established. The maintenance calculation will be based on information held by HM Revenue &amp; Customs (HMRC) about their earnings for the most recent complete tax year.</p><p> </p><p>Access to income information reported by HMRC allows us to capture a much wider range of income types received by paying parents, including income from property, savings and investments (including dividends) and other miscellaneous income. In December 2018 we introduced new powers which also enable us to target complex earners via a calculation of notional income based on their assets.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department has not made any assessment of the effect of the regulation of section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 on medical devices containing computers.</p><p> </p><p>Section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 places duties on any person who designs, manufacturers, imports or supplies any article for use at work to ensure that it will be safe and without risks to health. In general this applies to all devices used in the workplace but there are exceptions, such as medical devices, which are regulated by specific regulations that set out more detailed duties.</p><p> </p><p>The Medical Devices Regulations 2002 deal with the design, manufacture, import or supply of medical devices, including those which may contain computers/software. It is for the designer, manufacturer, importer or supplier to demonstrate that their product is safe. These regulations transpose the requirements of the following European Directives concerning product safety for medical devices:</p><p>- Council Directive 90/385/EEC on Active Implantable Medical Devices (AIMDD)(1990);</p><p>- Council Directive 93/42/EEC on Medical Devices (MDD)(1993); and</p><p>- Council Directive 98/79/EC on In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices (IVDMD)(1998).</p><p> </p><p>The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) regulates medical devices in the United Kingdom.
