answer text <p>As well as the annual real terms increase in the defence budget announced in the summer budget, up to an additional £1.5 billion per year by 2020-21 will be made available for the Ministry of Defence and Security and Intelligence agencies. DE&amp;S negotiates contracts with consultancy companies to deliver a specific output at an agreed price.
