Domestic tourism spend in 2012 was a record-breaking £67,956m. We will not have a final figure for 2014 until next year. Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) groupings have been used as a proxy for advantaged/disadvantaged backgrounds. To enable sufficient sample size to allow for robust comparisons to be made these have been combined into the lower 5 groups and the upper 5 groups. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/06/2014 answer text <p>In 2011/12, according to Arts &amp; Business, overall philanthropic giving to the cultural sector grew by 7.6% on the previous year to £660.5 million. The breakdown of this total shows £536 million of private investment in culture in London and £125 million in the non-London English regions. Although London is always likely to attract a greater proportion of philanthropic giving, there are many examples of arts organisations successfully encouraging philanthropy and private investment across the country.
