To demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, we will continue to offset the carbon emissions associated with COP Unit staff and the COP26 President travelling on official business. This will include travel to COP27.</p><p><br>The ‘COP26 Sustainability Report’ sets out the measures we took to deliver a sustainable summit, including those relating to attendee travel. The ‘Carbon Management Plan: PAS 2060 Qualifying Explanatory Statement’ details our commitment to carbon neutrality and the steps we took to achieve and verify it. These provide an in-depth assessment of national and sub-national sales, inter-regional flows, transportation, consumption and permitted reserves of primary aggregates. The survey provides comprehensive data for monitoring and facilitating aggregates provision at a local, regional and national level.</p><p>The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) recognises that it is essential that there is a sufficient supply of minerals to provide the infrastructure, buildings, energy and goods that the country needs. It is clear that as minerals are a finite natural resource, best use needs to be made of them to secure their long term conservation. This is why mineral planning authorities are required to safeguard mineral resources through their planning policies, by defining Mineral Safeguarding Areas and Mineral Consultation Areas. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/04/2022 answer text <p>The Regulation controlling the use of brodifacoum was established by a European Union (EU) implementing regulation in 2017 and has remained unchanged in Great Britain following the United Kingdom’s (UK) departure from the EU on 31 January 2020.</p><p> </p><p>A stewardship regime is in place in the UK for professional use of second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) including brodifacoum. A cornerstone of the stewardship scheme is the <a href="https://www.thinkwildlife.org/code-of-best-practice/crru-code/" target="_blank">Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) Code of Best Practice</a>, which sets out guidance on the safe use of rodenticides. It is a legal requirement to comply with this code. Risk hierarchy is central to the code, which clearly states that SGARs including Brodifacoum present the greatest risk to non-target species and the environment, so they should be the last option after all other types of control have been carefully considered. The scheme also supports the <a href="https://pbms.ceh.ac.uk/content/pbms-reports" target="_blank">monitoring of exposure of barn owls and red kites to SGARs</a> (as a sentinel species) led by the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology.</p><p> </p><p>The stewardship scheme is overseen by a Government Oversight Group (GOG) led by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) with representatives of other government stakeholders. The GOG meets annually to assess the impact of the Stewardship scheme. The IPSF is a multilateral forum between policymakers on sustainable finance regulatory measures, particularly focussed on green taxonomies. Members include authorities from 18 different jurisdictions globally, including China and the European Union. The UK became a member in February 2021. In June 2020, the EU and China initiated a Working Group on taxonomies with the objective to undertake a assessment of existing taxonomies for environmentally sustainable investments, including identifying the commonalities and differences in their respective approaches and outcomes. We continue to promote with our international partners the need for tighter export controls to ensure cyber capabilities are used legally and responsibly, and do not threaten or undermine human rights.</p><p> </p><p>Unauthorised access to a computer system to upload spyware, such as Pegasus, would be likely to constitute an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.</p><p> </p><p>Our national security framework is one of the most robust and transparent in Europe. One of the key pieces of legislation is the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 which sets out the regulatory framework for authorising such conduct. For example, Defence continues to play a direct role in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, most recently through ongoing Royal Navy support to the international disaster relief efforts following the tsunami in Tonga; and last year providing a Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessel to assist the US humanitarian aid mission in Haiti. Our Armed Forces are also always ready to respond to requests to support civil authorities, and from vaccine supply logistics to front line medical support they have played a critical role in supporting the response to the COVID pandemic.</p><p> </p><p>We must stay ahead of the increasingly complex threats to our people and allies by investing in, rather than cutting, defence budgets. The Building Regulations apply when a new building is constructed, or work is done to an existing building. We have recently published our response to the Future Buildings Standard Consultation which sets out new guidance on Part F, to come into force in June 2022.
