answer text <p>It is important to recognise that remediation work cannot be done overnight – and it must be done properly so that it makes buildings and residents safe. The time to complete works varies considerably depending on factors such as structure, extent of cladding, and existing fire safety systems. For many buildings this is a complex job involving major construction work.</p><p>It remains our priority to ensure that this is done swiftly. The £600 million the Government has committed towards unsafe ACM remediation removes the biggest blocker to progress. We have also put in place additional project management support with construction expertise to help support individual projects and oversee remediation. Where building owners are failing to make acceptable progress, those responsible should expect further action to be taken – including naming and shaming and tougher enforcement action by local authorities and Fire and Rescue Services.</p> more like this

answer text <p>To date, the Department for Communities and Local Government has not received any representations regarding overpayments to parking payment machines.</p><p>The government recognises the important role parking provision plays in successful town centres, and encourages all local authorities to provide flexible payment arrangements, including change from meters, to encourage more visitors into our town centres.</p> more like this
