answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/05/2019 answer text <p>Under the Sandhurst Treaty, signed in January 2018, the UK government committed €50 million to implement projects agreed under the terms of the Treaty. This full funding package has now been allocated, and officials are in the process of making the final funding transfers. Payments have been made directly to the French Interior Ministry and its constituent bodies, or where necessary directly to organisations responsible for security infrastructure improvements.</p><p><br>Payments have not been made directly to migrants. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/05/2019 answer text <p>The draft guidance is clear that teaching for these subjects should be in line with pupil need, informed by pupil voice and participation in curriculum development, and should be in response to issues as they arise in the school and wider community. Schools should make sure that staff are equipped to deliver these subjects to a high standard, ensuring that the subjects are well led, effectively managed and planned. Staff have a vital contribution in ensuring these subjects are sensitive to the needs of pupils, for example by having regard to a pupil’s religious background or special educational need and also in ensuring they are embedded as part of a whole school approach.</p><p>Ofsted inspectors are required to consider pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (SMSC) as part of section 5 school inspections. Ofsted’s school inspection handbook, attached, sets out the specific aspects considered under SMSC. It covers a broad range of matters including pupils’ reflectivity; moral and ethical issues; social interaction; participation in the community; and acceptance of and engagement with fundamental British values. The Foreign Secretary raised this matter directly with the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, HE Minister Al Jubeir. The British Government opposes the death penalty in all circumstances and in every country, including in Saudi Arabia. We regularly raise human rights concerns, including the use of the death penalty, at the highest levels with the Saudi Arabian authorities. Similar concerns were also considered by the Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) in their report, published in March 2018, of their April 2016 visit to the prison in which Mr Öcalan is held. We encourage Turkey to adopt the CPT's recommendations. With regard to the decades of conflict in Turkey, we have consistently urged an end to PKK violence and for both sides to return to a peace process. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/04/2019 answer text <p>Peter Chester is currently placed in closed conditions pending a further review of his detention and his suitability for open conditions by the independent Parole Board which has commenced in line with current legislation.</p><p> </p><p>The Parole Board has confirmed that there is no longer a backlog when it comes to listing oral hearings for life and IPP sentence prisoners. The law provides that life sentenced prisoners are entitled to have their detention reviewed by the independent Parole Board every two years.
