The UK Shared Prosperity Fund will strengthen the foundations of productivity as set out in our modern Industrial Strategy to support people to benefit from economic prosperity. This new Fund will ensure that investments are targeted effectively to align with the challenges faced by places, creating a fresh opportunity to focus investment according to our own priorities. We are continuing to work on the design and priorities and we will consult widely on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This will give all interested parties the chance to contribute their views to Government. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2019 answer text <p>We launched the Outsourcing Playbook in February 2019 and introduced a package of<br>reforms to our approach to outsourcing designed to improve public service outcomes, value<br>for money and how we work in partnership with our suppliers</p><p>Measures include:<br>Guidance for departments to help assess whether services should be delivered, in-house by<br>the public sector or outsourced. This should support more informed decisions on when it is<br>best to deliver public services ourselves and when there is benefit to drawing on the capacity<br>and expertise of the private sector;<br>Introduction of a new presumption in favour of running a pilot where government is<br>outsourcing a service so we learn lessons before contracting for the long term; and<br>A new requirement for government to produce an assessment of how much a service<br>‘should cost’ to deliver when deciding whether to utilise the private sector. This helps to<br>provide a better understanding of the costs associated with the different service delivery<br>models so that we are in a better position to challenge unsustainable bids</p><p>We have put in place an implementation programme to ensure that our departments are<br>aware of these new requirements. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2019 answer text <p>The Government recognises that climate change is one of the most urgent and pressing challenges we face, which is why we have set out ambitious plans in our Clean Growth Strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through to 2032 and beyond.</p><p> </p><p>The Strategy builds on the UK’s strong progress we have made towards our legally binding targets, established in the world-leading Climate Change Act. Between 1990 and 2017, the UK reduced its emissions by over 40 per cent while growing the economy by more than two thirds.</p><p> </p><p>Looking ahead to the future, we have commissioned the Committee on Climate Change to provide advice on the implications of the Paris Agreement for the UK’s long-term emissions reduction targets, including on setting a net zero target. Climate change and environmental protection are already included in the school curriculum.</p><p> </p><p>It is important that young people are taught about climate change and environmental protection so they understand both the challenges we face and the solutions. Research shows that restricting access to abortion services does not make abortions less common – it only serves to make them less safe, risking women’s and girls’ health and lives through dangerous, backstreet abortions. At least 8% of maternal deaths worldwide are caused by unsafe abortions. Millions more women and girls are left with injuries and disabilities as a result.</p><p> </p><p>The UK’s position is that safe abortion reduces recourse to unsafe abortion and thus saves lives, and that women and adolescent girls must have the right to make their own decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and well-being. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2019 answer text <p>The Government’s priority is to keep consumers safe.</p><p> </p><p>The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) review considered the adequacy of Whirlpool’s response on tumble dryer safety. As a result, OPSS has issued a Decision Letter to Whirlpool setting out further actions for the company to take in relation to risk management and communications with customers.
