Following the application of allocation criteria previously set out to the House, 984 ECMT annual permits have been allocated to operators and a further 2,832 short term permits will start to be allocated by March 2019. The Government has secured additional ECMT permits for 2019 and is in discussions with road haulage stakeholders on the process for allocating these.
