answer text <p>The Government has named 30 employers under the revised Naming and Shaming Scheme. Between them they owed workers a total of over £50,000 in arrears and have been charged financial penalties totalling over £24,000. Details of these employers can be found on the original press notices (<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-gets-tough-with-employers-failing-to-pay-minimum-wage" target="_blank">28 February 2014</a> and <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-names-employers-who-fail-to-pay-minimum-wage" target="_blank">8 June 2014</a>), including the town in which the employer is based. However, these organisations may employ staff or have offices or other operations in other geographical locations.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>No employers have been prosecuted under the National Minimum Wage Act since October 2013.</p><p> </p> more like this

However, the licences were revoked following a revision to the sanctions regime which came into force on 17 June 2012. No goods were exported to Syria under these licences before they were revoked.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>As the Prime Minister set out in his written statement on 13 October 2014, the Minister for Business and Enterprise as the Government’s Anti-Corruption Champion will oversee the Government response to domestic and international corruption. His appointment demonstrates the Government’s continued commitment to tackling this issue both at home and abroad.</p><p>The Government will publish a cross-departmental anti-corruption plan, setting out the range of activity currently underway and future policy directions, later this year and this will provide further information about the role.</p><p>The Anti-Corruption Champion is supported by officials in both the Cabinet Office and Home Office who lead on the co-ordination of international and domestic anti-corruption work across departments.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government takes the enforcement of the National Minimum Wage very seriously and has increased the financial penalty percentage from 50% to 100% of the unpaid wages owed to workers, and the maximum penalty from £5,000 to £20,000. These new limits are now in force where arrears are identified in pay reference periods on or after 7 March 2014. The Government will also bring in primary legislation as soon as possible so that the maximum £20,000 penalty can apply to each underpaid worker.<br><br>I am unable to provide in-year figures for 2014/15 as HM Revenue and Customs do not disclose results mid-way through a year; this is because the results have not been internally verified. In an effort to assist I have provided the verified figures up to the year 2013/14, which provides numbers of the maximum penalties issued up until April 2014.&quot;</p> more like this
