<p>The Department for Education, including the Government Equalities Office, operates nine principal public phone lines. Calls to five of these lines are charged as UK-wide (0370), geographic (020) or public body (0300) numbers. Four of these are free-phone (0800 or 0808) numbers, which do not incur a charge.</p><p> </p>
