<p>The Equality Act 2010 stipulates that parties must make reasonable adjustments to support disabled candidates and ensure, as far as possible, that they have the same access as non-disabled candidates. Ministers have made clear in letters to parties and Statements to the House that ultimately the responsibility sits with political parties.</p>
