The combined cost does not include the full cost of masculinising chest surgery, as this was partially funded by clinical commissioning groups in 2019/20.</p><p>Information on the number of surgical interventions for feminising genital surgery and masculinising chest surgery in 2020/21 is not currently held centrally. However, this data is expected to be available within the first quarter of 2022/23. While the allocated budget for specialist surgical procedures on the gender dysphoria pathway in 2020/21 was £19 million, actual spend can only be determined once the data on surgical numbers is available. Social care workers have shown incredible dedication during this extraordinary time.</p><p> </p><p>We truly value the work they are doing, which is why the Government set out steps in our Action Plan for Adult Social Care to support the workforce, ensuring we have the staff we need and that they feel both supported and valued.</p><p> </p><p>However, the independent Migration Advisory Committee has been very clear that immigration is not the answer to the challenges in this sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/03/2016 answer text <p>The Government's position, as set out by the Prime Minister to Parliament on 22 February, is that the UK will be stronger, safer and better off remaining in a reformed EU.</p><p> </p><p>Under our new settlement the European Commission has agreed for the first time to set specific targets to reduce the overall burden on businesses in key sectors. The European Council Declaration on Competitiveness commits to ‘doing more to reduce the overall burden of EU regulation, especially on SMEs and micro enterprises’.</p><p> </p><p>To implement this, the European Commission has agreed to introduce a new burden review mechanism. It will conduct an annual survey of the burdens imposed on businesses at the EU level.
