<p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) holds figures of the number of offences charged
under section 71 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 that reached a first hearing
in a magistrates' court and data for the past three financial years is contained in
the following table. No charges are recorded before financial year 2011/2012.</p><p>
