We are working with projects to make sensible adjustments to the scope and phasing of their Levelling Up Fund (LUF) projects where necessary to mitigate delivery challenges whilst maintaining value for money. To date the Levelling Up Fund has received 61 project adjustment requests – 37 have been approved, 1 has been rejected, 16 were withdrawn, and a further 7 are currently being considered.
more like this

We have been clear that the Consul General would not be welcome to do a further posting in the UK. He is responsible for the behaviour of his staff. Throughout this process, we have been clear that in the UK, we abide by the rule of law, follow due process and respect the operational independence of our police. Our firm diplomacy and actions have shown the seriousness with which we take these incidents, and have ultimately had an impact.
more like this

answer text
Existing legislation makes the owner or user of the vehicle responsible for its condition. Removal of a diesel particulate filter will almost invariably result in a contravention of the regulations, making the vehicle illegal to use on the road. The potential penalties are £1,000 for a car and £2,500 for a van. Action can be taken against garages who are promoting services in a way that makes it likely car owners will break the law by making such changes to their vehicle.
more like this
